Larissa Lowing was born on the 26th of January, 1973 in Scarborough. When Larissa was six years old she moved with her family to Whitby, where she graduated from high school. She became one of Canada's most successful gymnasts at the age of seven. Between the ages of seven and eleven she entered over fourteen competitions.
